Sadaak — Privacy

The short version

Sadaak plays audio in a school building: class bells, scheduled announcements and live paging. It holds configuration and audio, not student records. It has no access to the student data held in Anseraf or Sijillak.

What is held

Site configuration

Audio zones, the devices installed in the building, and how they are grouped.

Bell timetables

When bells ring. Where a school also uses Sijillak, this can follow the teaching schedule.

Announcements

Scheduled announcement text and any audio recorded or uploaded for playback. A recording of a voice is personal data, and it is held for the school as controller.

Operator accounts

The staff who may trigger paging, and what they are permitted to do.

Device and system logs

What played, when, and whether a device was reachable — needed to prove a bell rang and to diagnose hardware faults.

The on-site appliance

A school running Sadaak has an appliance on its own premises. It exists so the audio keeps working when the internet does not, and so processing happens locally. Configuration is managed from the cloud, and the appliance holds the schedules and audio it needs to run independently.

Emergency and manual paging is never disabled by subscription state. A commercial dispute must not be able to silence a school's ability to make an urgent announcement.

Where data is held

Our production servers are currently located in Germany, operated on infrastructure we manage ourselves rather than on a third-party school-software platform. Some supporting services — email delivery, DNS and content delivery — may process data in other countries.

Because this places personal data outside the Kingdom, it is a cross-border transfer under the Personal Data Protection Law. We rely on the transfer being necessary to perform the agreement with the school, and we apply contractual and technical safeguards to it. If you require data residency inside the Kingdom, tell us before you subscribe: it is a deployment question, not a policy one.

Your rights

Under the Personal Data Protection Law you may ask to be told what personal data is held about you, to obtain a copy of it, to have it corrected, and in defined circumstances to have it destroyed. You may also withdraw a consent you previously gave.

For anything held on behalf of a school — a student record, an attendance or dismissal event, a guardian relationship — the school is the controller and decides. Send those requests to the school; we will support the school in answering them. For data we hold in our own right, such as an enquiry you emailed us, write to us directly and we will respond.

What Sadaak does not do

• It does not record or monitor what happens in a classroom. It is an output system: it plays audio, it does not listen.
• It holds no student records.
• It carries no advertising.
